Solution Options: Try if any of the following works:

  1. Add the following property 'autoReconnect' with the value 'true' to your connection properties in XESame;
  2. Make sure that the user you are using to connect has a long enough 'idle time' for the connection;
  3. In case the above fails, you might want to follow the following steps from this blog post.
    1. Go to Configuration & Migration Tool
    2. Start the database Configuration Assistant
    3. Select radio button —Configure Data base options in database
    4. Select your database—e.g. Oracle or pspl
    5. Select —– shared server mode (in step 6 of 6)
